Now that iOS 9 is out, it's time to think ahead to iOS 9.1, which has been in public beta for some time now. It contains more than 100 new emojis, including the highly-anticipated middle finger emoji.
There are many other notable emojis in iOS 9.1, including an ice skate, a volleyball, a ping pong paddle, a person lifting weights, paper clips, a crayon, a scorpion, and a robot. The stable version of iOS 9.1 isn't currently available, so if you want to get your hands on these new emojis you'll have to install the iOS 9.1 public beta from the Apple Beta Program website. Note that only iOS devices running iOS 9.1 or later can view the new emojis. On all other iOS devices, each emoji appears as a question mark enclosed within a square.
