On Thursday, Microsoft began allowing people to apply to be invited to join the company’s Word Flow for iOS beta.
Word Flow, Microsoft’s keyboard with amazing one-handed optimization, first made its iOS debut back in January in the form of an exclusive beta. This beta was only available to certain people and you could not apply to join it.
Now, Microsoft is allowing anyone to apply to join the company’s Word Flow for iOS beta. To apply to join it, simply enter your email address on the Microsoft’s Word Flow for iOS beta request page here. Microsoft says that an invitation to join the Word Flow for iOS beta will be emailed to those who apply when the app is at the right stage to be tested by new beta testers.
What makes Word Flow for iOS so special is its aforementioned one-handed optimization. This comes through a feature that Microsoft is calling Arc mode. In Arc mode, the Word Flow keyboard takes on an almost circular layout, making it easier to type with one hand on it.
Like the default iOS keyboard, Word Flow is also able to predict what word you want to use next. Additionally, Word Flow is highly customizable. Microsoft says that Word Flow contains the ability to change the keyboard’s background to one of the company’s images or one of your own. Based off of Microsoft’s pictures of the Word Flow keyboard, it also appears that the keyboard’s color is changeable.
